What are the sender’s responsibilities?

Senders must know about and signal the presence of dangerous goods, and check that these are accepted in the destination country. They must also describe the content, pack, mark and label the shipment, and provide the necessary documents.

If they are unsure of the exact nature of the contents, they must contact the distributor or manufacturer.
