Holding and redirection of your mail

Are you moving house or going on holiday? We offer a holding and redirection service for your letters and newspapers (parcels not included).

How to subscribe to this service?

You should activate the holding and redirection service at least 3 working days before the required start date. If you’re moving house, all of your mail (except parcels) will be redirected to your new address for the chosen period.

Online

Register for free or sign in to  MyPost (your address must be authenticated in advance) and activate the redirection service for the period of your choice.

At a post office

Go to the post office of your choice, with proof of your identity. Ask for the holding or redirection service for the period of your choice.

Via your postal worker

You can also ask your postal worker during their round. Simply fill in the request form, stating how long you want the service for, and show proof of your identity.

To avoid finding your mailbox full when you are back from vacation.

Holding of letters and newspapers

  • Additional cost per business day €0.25
  • Duration: minimum 3 calendar days and maximum 2 months
  • Only available to Luxembourg residents
  • Price subject to VAT at 17%

Suspension of delivery of a newspaper

  • Temporary suspension of delivery of a Luxembourg newspaper
  • Only available to Luxembourg residents
  • Price subject to VAT at 17%

- 30 days (+5 additional days offered free)
- 60 days (+10 additional days offered free)

Available options

With our mail holding and redirection services, we offer several options concerning your daily newspapers:

Temporary holding of your daily newspapers

You can choose to have your daily newspapers held for you along with your mail while you’re away.

Redirection of your daily newspapers

This option is totally free. We suggest that you contact the publisher directly to give details of your new address.

Temporary suspension of delivery of your daily newspapers

You can choose to not receive your daily newspapers while you’re away.
