How to create a VPN?
To configure a VPN, use WireGuard VPN.
Attention: You must have a public IP address.
- From the internet browser, type: "heights.local"
- From VPN, click on Add
- Configure your VPN:
Name your VPN Server
- Click AutoCreateKey to configure the "server Private key"
- The "server Public key" is also configured
- Configure your "server LAN IP Address Range": 192.168.0.1/16
- Configure your "listen Port", "51820" for the default WireGuard Port
On the WireGuard application:
Give your VPN connection a name "identification Name"
- The PrivateKey is automatically generated with the Public Key
- Configure your ListenPort: "51820" for the default WireGuard Port
- Configure your Client LAN IP Address Range
- Configure a Public DNS from Cloudflare "1.1.1.1" or Google "8.8.8.8"
- Set the MTU Size to "1420" as the default value
