A rental guarantee, what is it for?

POST Finance supports each client to become a resident of Luxembourg, whether they are newcomers or already well established.

Rather than paying the guarantee directly to your landlord, you deposit the amount into an account in your name at POST Finance. Simple, secure and practical: the rental guarantee allows you to move into Luxembourg serenely.

The landlord is reassured, and you keep control: the funds remain blocked in your name and can only be used if necessary, in accordance with the conditions provided for in your lease contract.

A transparent price

A fixed rate, with no hidden fees:

  • Processing fees: 50 €, once only at the creation of your guarantee.
  • Monthly fees: only 3€/month, regardless of the amount of your guarantee.

Accessible to all

The rent guarantee is open to all POST Finance clients with an S, M or L package.

No additional conditions: you are eligible as soon as you open your account.

How to benefit from a rent guarantee?

A simple approach in a few steps.

  2. Complete your rent guarantee request

  3. Transmit your documents

    Send us your documents (form and signed lease) online or in one of our Espace POST.

  4. Deposit the amount of the guarantee in your account 

    And that’s all!

Answers to your questions

The amount of the guarantee is blocked on a dedicated account held by the tenant for the entire duration of the lease. The duration is defined in the clauses of your lease contract.

It is possible to recover the rental guarantee at the end of the lease. For this, it is necessary to send (by secure messaging or at the counter) a request for release of funds signed by the beneficiary. The release request form is available here.

As the beneficiary of a rent guarantee, you can use this guarantee, in whole or in part, by making a rent guarantee call request at the counter or by mail. Our fees are fixed, transparent and independent of the amount of your guarantee.

  • Processing fees: 50€ paid once during the provision of the guarantee
  • Management fees: 3€/month
